Calcium is a major mineral essential for healthy bones and teeth. There are several minerals known to be essential to the human body and which must be obtained from food. The major minerals (calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium, chloride and potassium) are needed in the greatest quantities or are present in large amounts in the body. The three main functions of minerals are as constituents of the skeleton, as soluble salts which help control the composition of the body fluids, and as essential adjuncts to the action of many enzymes and other proteins.

Unrealistic Affirmations

The affirmations of a person uses depends on many factors. What is the man trying to achieve? Where is he or she is now in relation to that goal or dream? What is their belief factor? Does he or she want something big or just looking for incremental improvements?

One the graten strikes against critics have affirmations is that they encourage unrealistically thinking.

It is ridiculous, they say, to encourage sixth graders, can hardly play "Hot Crossed Buns" on the saxophone to use as a confirmation: "I am a world-class saxophone player. "That's just delusional state, they argue, have one child believe something so out of touch with reality.

I absolutely agree!

" what "you say," I thought They were in business to promote the affirmations and encouraging others to follow their dreams? "I am. Nevertheless, I agree with the critics. Oh, I think that for all the affirmations, but I do not believe that any affirmation for each person.

Yes. Critics are correct. This allegation is totally unrealistic, for every sixth grader who believes he is unrealistic.

They is also true that an intelligent sixth graders is probably still doubt on the claim to a certain point. Sooner or later, the sixth graders can confirm this with the thought: "I can also not play "Hot Crossed Buns." I am not a world-class saxophone player. "

These two pieces of information do not match. The sixth graders, like most people, the search for a way to the ideas congruent. If this happens, it is time for the decision sixth grader and his dream of a world-class saxophonist. Whether they know it or not, the critics argue, and the sixth graders experienced a well-known psychological phenomenon called dissonance.

This cognitive theory suggests that, if incongruent we have two pieces of knowledge in our heads, there is a very strong psychological impetus to bring the two conflicting thoughts in the agreement. The idea is that our sixth graders can not hold the thought: "I can not play" Hot Crossed Rolls, "" in his head, while at the same time, the idea that "I am a world-class saxophone player."

The classic example is the mother in the news that is not in accordance they brought the child into the world with the possibility that he committed a crime. Well, she believes in his innocence even against overwhelming evidence.

Now, here is where the critics' logic. They assume, I suppose, that the only way for these newly self-conscious sixth graders, the use of unrealistic affirmation and stop the pursuit of such lofty dreams and unrealistic. In principle, "Give it up, kid, there is no chance."

The cognitive dissonance theorists tell us that there are actually three ways (besides "getting real") is open to resolving this dilemma.

  • change beliefs - the sixth graders can change one or both convictions more in harmony. "I know I am not a world-class saxophonist right now, but I can someday." He or she gives the first fact and change the prerequisite for the second, in order to match.
  • add faith - the sixth graders may think: "It's true, I can not play" Hot Crossed Buns. "It's true that I am not a world-class saxophonist right now." "It is also true that Charlie Parker was not a world-class saxophonist in the sixth grade and look what he achieved."
  • age the importance of faith - the sixth graders may think: "It doesn 'T matter, I can not play" Hot Crossed rolls "right now. Some days I can. I have always still in me to a world-class saxophone player. "he or she chooses the role of the state and focus instead on the future possibility.
  • Part of confusion, frankly, comes from affirmation gurus, promoting the idea that your affirmations must Eingehalten with unshakable faith, to make a difference. Bezweifeln - the cardinal error of the affirmationdom - must never be allowed, otherwise the increase will spoiled.

People potion is people. A few days later, we believe in our dreams hot and other days we totally lose sight of. That is not negative, which is only a human being. The trail is not lost by a moment of affirmation doubt.

This or may not be appropriate for the sixth graders in question. It depends on how he or she resolves the cognitive dissonance assigned. If he or she can not come to deal with the disparity, then a confirmation, such as "I am a world-class saxophone player," or "I am a saxophone player better every day" can be more acceptable and reduce the cognitive dissonance.

Conversely, Previous affirmation is ideal for a college student, majoring in music and performance on the saxophone. This person has been for many years and is now an expert on the instrument. He or she may be planning a career playing the saxophone. The college students certainly can realistically aspire to a world-class sax player.

Here is what I have learned from more than 17 years of experience in working with affirmations. There are actually two categories of affirmations - refreshing and incremental.

Aspirational affirmations are your "big thinking" affirmations. They are those who remember that something far more than just in you. The knowing is not for anyone to characterize as wahnhafte or unrealistic. It depends on you and your faith. Incremental affirmations are affirmations, the more finely tuned. They focus on the specifics and immediate steps. They are the trees on the refreshing affirmations "forest.

In my opinion, they are also part of a healthy diet affirmation. Exactly how protein and calcium serve two different but beneficial roles in the body. Both types of affirmations of the value of your all growth. one today is the weather forecast and the other is the Long Range forecast.

Let me illustrate the difference, with a few high school quarterback examples.

A with big dreams would you rate the following two affirmations:

Aspirational: "I am the next John Elway. "
incremental:" My share is to improve the completion of each game. "

A person tries to climb, depression would be the following two affirmations:

Aspirational:" I am very happy with all aspects of my life. "
Incremental:" Today, I put one foot in front of the other and move forward. "

A person, focusing on creating a better financial future, would you both of the following affirmations:

Aspirational" my million-dollar idea on the way to me! Right now. "
Incremental:" Today I am paying my bills on time. "

It is not unrealistic. It is a matter of very real power of the thought to support your immediate and long-term goals dreams.

So if you have a sixth grade saxophone player with a passion for the world graten saxophonist, I say, go for it! One thing is certain. None of the critics is to beat it out!

    Be Be peaceful prosperous!
